HBO’s 10/10 Stephen King Series Officially Makes a Meta Addition to Season 2

Stephen King’s grandson, Ethan, will write for the second season of HBO’s *IT: Welcome to Derry*, adding a family connection to the adaptation of King’s horror universe. Showrunner Brad Caleb Kane confirmed the appointment and praised Ethan’s intelligence, describing his talent as inherited across generations.

The series was renewed in August, but its next season is not expected to arrive until 2027, likely around the middle of the year. Season one drew 5.7 million cross-platform viewers in its first three days, with the finale reaching 6.5 million viewers.
