High-scoring Roma move second with 3-0 win over Sassuolo

Roma beat Sassuolo 3-0 to move into second place in Serie A, keeping their unbeaten start intact and strengthening their title credentials. Their attacking form contrasts with Sassuolo’s defensive struggles, while Roma’s position leaves them one point behind leaders Lazio.

Mario Hermoso opened the scoring in the 27th minute, and a Sebastian Walukiewicz own goal followed three minutes later. Rodrigo Mora made it 3-0 in the 58th minute; Roma have scored 31 goals in 11 league games, while Sassuolo have conceded 29. Dutch striker Donyell Malen has eight league goals and four in the Champions League, and Roma have not won the title since 2001.
