House Democrats escalate probe of StubHub CEO Eric Baker, now targeting his role at ticket reseller Andro Capital

Music Business Worldwide ·

House Oversight Committee Democrat Robert Garcia has widened his investigation into StubHub chief executive Eric Baker, seeking details about his role as managing director of ticket reseller Andro Capital. The inquiry focuses on whether Baker’s positions at both companies create conflicts of interest or give Andro an advantage that could raise costs for fans and affect artists’ earnings.

Garcia’s letter cites securities filings that describe Baker as a partial owner of Andro, which has traded tickets on StubHub since 2008 and received millions of dollars through the platform. StubHub filings say Andro uses the company to list, price and fulfil tickets; they also record a $100,000 balance owed to Andro at the end of 2025 and on 31 March, but none in the report covering the three months to 30 June. The letter also raises questions about StubHub’s ticket services and financing links with Andro affiliate Colloquy Capital.

In short

  • A House Democrat has expanded scrutiny of StubHub CEO Eric Baker.
  • The probe examines Andro Capital’s ticket sales through StubHub.
  • Financial and services links with an affiliate also draw scrutiny.
