Apple Music's global head of dance, electronic and DJ mixes, Stephen Campbell, is expanding the platform's dance music offering with Club Live, a service that broadcasts festivals and club shows live via the Apple Music Club streaming radio station. The launch comes as dance music enjoys a surge in popularity, positioning Apple Music to capitalise on growing listener demand while building out an ecosystem that already includes thousands of licensed DJ mixes, podcasts and genre-specific radio programmes.

Club Live was piloted at major festivals including EDC Las Vegas and Tomorrowland in Boom, Belgium, and arrives as Luminate's 2026 mid-year report names dance as the fastest-growing music genre, with US on-demand audio streams up 18.9% year-on-year. Campbell, who joined Apple in 2019 after a career spanning advertising and running Young Turks Records (now Young), also discussed how Apple Music used Shazam-based technology to solve long-standing rights and payment issues, enabling DJ mixes to be officially licensed for streaming since 2021.
