The 78th Emmy Awards air live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Monday, 14 September, with "Law & Order: SVU" star Mariska Hargitay hosting as the first woman to solo-host the ceremony since Jane Lynch in 2011. The show recognises the year's leading television performers and productions, with medical drama "The Pitt" leading nominations on 25, followed by comedy "Hacks", which earned a record 24 nods for its final season, alongside "Widow's Bay", "Pluribus" and "Beef".

The ceremony broadcasts on NBC from 8pm ET/5pm PT and streams live on Peacock, whose Premium and Premium Plus tiers cost $12.99 and $19.99 a month respectively; cord-cutters can also access NBC via Hulu + Live TV, DirecTV, Fubo or Sling TV.
