Chris Patolo, Connor Wrench, Lewis Jagger and George Flanagan scored Huddersfield’s tries, with Flanagan’s late effort proving decisive. Hull led 10-6 at half-time through Joe Batchelor and Davy Litten, whose second try later made it 16-12, but a disallowed Batchelor try in the penultimate minute ended their final chance of a comeback.
