Hull KR came from 12 points down to beat Hull FC 34-20 in a tense Super League derby, ending their own two-match losing run and extending their winning streak against their city rivals to nine games. The result lifted the reigning champions back into the play-off places in fifth, while Hull FC suffered a sixth successive defeat and remain second from bottom.

Hull FC scored early through Joe Batchelor and Davy Litten, but Tom Amone and Arthur Mourgue made it 12-12 at half-time. Jack Broadbent gave KR their first lead, Joe Burgess added a 95-metre interception try, and Jordan Dezaria sealed the victory after Jake Arthur briefly reduced the gap for FC. It was Willie Peters’ final derby as Hull KR coach; Hull FC next visit bottom side Huddersfield, while KR host Bradford.
