Elizabeth “Liz” Waddell, a 44-year-old physical therapist from North Carolina, remains missing after disappearing during a holiday in Grenada. Her husband, Cailen Waddell, has travelled to the island to assist the search and says the family is considering the possibility that she went swimming, while stressing that they want to bring her home safely.

Waddell was last seen on 22 July at Grand Anse Beach in St George’s. Her friend reportedly found her towel on a pier after losing sight of her, and police, divers, local students and coastal residents have joined the search; authorities have asked fishermen and boat operators to report possible sightings.
