In a rare instance of good news, Philips has announced the world’s first 36-inch, 260 Hz gaming monitor. So that’s nice

PC Gamer ·

Philips has announced the Evnia 36M2N8800, which it describes as the first 36-inch gaming monitor with a 260 Hz refresh rate. The announcement adds a large-screen option aimed at players who want very smooth motion, though the article notes that such a high refresh rate may be difficult to make use of in demanding games.

The monitor has a 5K2K resolution of 5,120 by 2,160 pixels and uses a QD-OLED panel. Philips says it can reach 1,300 nits peak brightness and covers 99.5 per cent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut; it also supports adaptive sync and has USB-C with 90 W power delivery. Pricing and release timing were not included in the article.
