An Indiana family farm, Global Farms, has defended its decision to create a large corn maze honouring Charlie Kirk, saying it stands by the tribute despite facing significant online backlash. Manager Jeremy Goebel said the business began receiving one-star reviews within hours of unveiling the design, including from some previous customers who objected to the memorial, and that Google temporarily suspended the farm's business profile following a complaint of "deceptive practices." Goebel insisted the maze was never meant to be divisive, but was created to remember Kirk and his advocacy for free speech and open debate.

Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, was assassinated on 10 September 2025 while speaking at Utah Valley University during his "American Comeback Tour." Goebel said that while criticism was intense in the first 24 hours, most of the response since has actually been positive, with messages of support arriving from as far afield as Cape Town and Australia. He said the episode reflected a wider need for Americans to listen to one another rather than assume opposing views are simply wrong, and confirmed the farm would "absolutely" create the tribute maze again.
