Written by Jason Aaron and illustrated by Aaron Kuder, the series will follow Indiana Jones as he searches for a biblical weapon after former enemies pursue Marion Ravenwood. Marvel has not said whether the 1980s series The Further Adventures of Indiana Jones will be treated as canon; Sword of Pandemonium is due to be released in December.

Explained simply
Indiana Jones is a fictional archaeologist and adventurer best known from a series of films beginning with Raiders of the Lost Ark in 1981. Played on screen by Harrison Ford, he travels to find ancient objects while facing rival treasure hunters, criminal groups and supernatural dangers.
Marvel Comics previously published Indiana Jones stories around the time of the early films, before other publishers later held the comic-book rights. A limited series is a comic planned to run for a fixed number of issues, rather than continuing indefinitely.
Marion Ravenwood is an important character from Raiders of the Lost Ark and has a long, complicated connection with Indiana Jones. The new series is set within the period of the original films, using the established characters and adventure setting while telling a separate story.
