Inside KATSEYE on ‘Tonight Show’: Their Wild ‘Animal’ TV Debut, Thanking Fans for ‘Support’ During Sophia & Manon Hiatus (Exclusive Photos)
KATSEYE made its late-night performance debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, performing its new single “Animal” ahead of the release of its album Wild. The appearance matters as the group continues promotional activity as a four-piece while Sophia and Manon take mental-health hiatuses.
Lara, Daniela, Yoonchae and Megan thanked fans for continuing to support the group and expressed affection for their absent bandmates. “Animal”, co-written by Ed Sheeran, debuted in the top 10 of the Billboard Global 200, while the members also joined Fallon’s opening monologue by briefly filling roles held by the show’s crew.

KATSEYE is a global girl group formed through the 2023 competition programme The Debut: Dream Academy, created by the South Korean company HYBE and the US label Geffen Records. The group originally had six members: Daniela, Lara, Manon, Megan, Sophia and Yoonchae.
The group combines members from several countries and has been promoted internationally through pop music, online videos and live appearances. Its upcoming album, Wild, includes “Animal”, a song co-written by the British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran.
Sophia and Manon are currently away from group activities on mental-health breaks, so the other four members have continued some promotions. A late-night US television appearance is a high-profile opportunity for a newer music act to reach a wider audience.
