Insta360 Mic review: A midrange mic kit that’s anything but boring
Insta360’s $250 Mic is a midrange wireless microphone kit that offers clear audio, effective noise reduction and flexible ways to record. It fills the gap between the company’s $330 Mic Pro and its cheaper Mic Air, and its removable memory card gives it a practical advantage for some creators.
The kit supports voice presets, can connect up to four microphones to one receiver, and can send audio to multiple receivers for recording across two cameras. Its e-ink display is customisable, while removable SD storage allows longer recordings and quick card swaps; the trade-offs include carrying a card and the possibility of dust or mechanical failure.
In short
- The $250 Mic slots between Insta360’s Pro and Air models.
- Clear audio and useful noise reduction impressed the reviewer.
- Removable SD storage and multi-mic recording add flexibility.
