Kingdom Hearts is an action role-playing game series made by Square Enix, bringing together original characters and characters from Disney stories. The games follow Sora and his friends as they travel between worlds and fight creatures called the Heartless.

The collection groups several main games in the series, which began in 2002. It gives players a way to access earlier entries together, while the series’ long-running story and mix of characters have helped it build an international audience.

Japan’s weekly physical game charts track boxed game sales, alongside separate figures for console hardware. They offer one measure of how games and systems are performing in the country, though they do not include digital sales.
