Jets’ Joseph Ossai ‘extremely’ frustrated he will miss fourth straight game

Joseph Ossai will miss his fourth consecutive game for the New York Jets, extending a difficult first season with the team. The edge rusher said he was “extremely” frustrated by the injuries, but is concentrating on his recovery and taking it one day at a time.

The 26-year-old signed a three-year, $36 million contract in March and has played just three games, recording nine tackles and no sacks. He missed the first two games with a foot injury and is now sidelined by an ankle injury; the Jets also ruled out cornerback Nahshon Wright and safety VJ Payne. New York faces Kansas City’s Kenneth Walker III, who ranks third in the NFL with 770 rushing yards, while the Jets are 21st in rush defence.
