Josh O’Connor has described speculation linking him to the next James Bond as an “incredibly bizarre pinch me moment”, saying he is honoured to be considered. The actor, known for “The Crown” and “Challengers”, declined to comment further, leaving unconfirmed whether he is involved in the casting process.

Reports say O’Connor is among a handful of actors taking final screen tests, alongside Jack Lowden and Callum Turner, though no casting decision has been announced. The 26th Bond film will be the first since Amazon MGM Studios took creative control in 2025; Denis Villeneuve is set to direct, with a screenplay by Steven Knight. Other actors previously linked to the role include Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jacob Elordi, Paul Mescal, Harris Dickinson and James Norton.
