Katseye Postpones Detroit Show As Megan Recovers From Illness
Katseye postponed their Detroit concert hours before it was due to begin, saying Megan Skiendiel was unwell and unable to perform. The group said she needed time to rest and recover, and apologised to fans who had travelled or made plans; the change leaves the show postponed.
The concert was scheduled for Little Caesars Arena as part of the group’s North American Wildworld Tour, which runs from 13 October to 28 November. Katseye had also withdrawn from Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields festival earlier this year after Skiendiel sprained her ankle. Two other members, Manon Bannerman and Sophia Laforteza, are on hiatus and are not joining the North American dates; Laforteza is expected back in January, while Bannerman’s return date is unannounced.
In short
- Katseye postponed their Detroit show because Megan Skiendiel is ill.
- The group apologised to fans who had travelled or made plans.
- Two other members are absent from the North American tour.
Explained simply
Katseye is a pop group whose members perform together as a vocal and dance act. Megan Skiendiel is one of its members. A concert can be postponed when a performer is too ill to take part, giving them time to recover.
The North American Wildworld Tour is a series of concerts scheduled across the continent. Little Caesars Arena, in Detroit, is a large venue that hosts concerts and sporting events. The tour is going ahead with two other members, Manon Bannerman and Sophia Laforteza, on hiatus; Laforteza is expected to return in January, while Bannerman’s return date has not been announced.
The Detroit postponement follows an earlier change to Katseye’s schedule: the group withdrew from Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields festival after Skiendiel sprained her ankle. Concert changes can affect fans who have travelled or made plans, as well as the group’s touring schedule.
