Keanu Reeves Officially Returns for New John Wick Prequel

Keanu Reeves will return as John Wick in an animated prequel about the assassin’s life before the first film. It will show how he completed the “Impossible Task”, which allowed him to leave the criminal underworld and retire with his wife, Helen.

Shannon Tindle is set to direct from a script by Ryan and Kaz Firpo. Reeves and the franchise’s director Chad Stahelski will executive produce. The film will not explain Wick’s apparent fate at the end of John Wick: Chapter 4; no release date has been announced.
