Deadline · 19 hours ago

Comedian Kelsey Cook has announced her debut Netflix stand-up special, "Happy Hour," which will premiere on the streaming platform on Tuesday 18 August. The special marks a step up for Cook, whose two previous specials have built a substantial following, and follows Netflix's continued push into stand-up comedy programming featuring rising talent.

In "Happy Hour," filmed at the Fitzgerald Theater in St Paul, Minnesota, and directed by Eric Abrams, Cook covers topics including "hangxiety," a nightmarish plane bathroom experience, and dating a stereotypical "Chad". It follows her previous specials "Mark Your Territory" (2025), which featured among Hulu's top 15 specials of the year and has been watched over 1.6 million times on YouTube, and "The Hustler" (2023), which has amassed more than 4.4 million YouTube views. Cook is currently touring over 40 US cities, co-hosts a podcast with her fiancé and fellow comedian Chad Daniels, and has previously appeared on shows including "The Tonight Show", "Good Morning America" and "The Talk".
