Principal photography has commenced on 'La Puta Vida,' an international collaboration combining production companies from Colombia and Chile under the direction of Chilean filmmaker Sebastián Araya Serrano. The ensemble cast brings together Colombian actor Claudio Cataño, fresh from his role in Netflix's adaptation of Gabriel García Márquez's novel, alongside German actress Christine Neubauer and Chilean performer Tamara Acosta. The project represents a five-country co-production aimed at expanding cultural exchange within Latin American cinema.

The film operates as a genre-blending narrative—combining thriller, road movie, and drama elements—centred on a woman's quest to discover the truth about her childhood, which unfolds across the Atacama Desert in 2005. Her journey becomes entangled with a con artist evading a hitman tasked with her capture and theft recovery. Through their ordeal across the desert's unforgiving terrain, the three principal characters undergo profound personal transformation and confrontation with possibilities for redemption. Cataño attributed his involvement to the compelling narrative structure and the opportunity to participate in Latin American filmmaking on a global scale, crediting his earlier work for opening doors for Colombian talent in international production.
