Liverpool v Arsenal: Premier League – live

Liverpool and Arsenal meet in a Premier League match that could shape how seriously each side sees its title chances. A win would be a statement for either team: Arsenal are aiming to retain the title, while Liverpool are beginning to believe they can challenge.

Liverpool have lost once this season, after a late penalty earned them a draw at Newcastle; they have also benefited from two Brentford red cards and a missed Chelsea penalty in the League Cup. Arsenal’s recent success has rested on resolve, unity and organisation, after periods of struggling to score from open play. The preview contrasts Liverpool’s faster, more improvisational style with Arsenal’s greater solidity.
