Marvel puts ominous twist on regular Fantastic Four clip to tease Avengers: Doomsday
Marvel has altered its weekly Fantastic Four social-media clip to include a brief, ominous exchange apparently teasing Avengers: Doomsday. The change suggests that the team may face an imminent threat, building anticipation for the next Avengers film and linking the Fantastic Four more closely to its central conflict.
Since last August, the account had repeatedly posted Reed Richards saying that the family holds dinner every Sunday at 7pm. On 19 July, the video instead glitched to black as Sue Storm asked, “How long do we have left?”, with Reed replying, “Not long.” Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom appeared in The Fantastic Four’s post-credits scene; Doomsday is due in cinemas on 18 December and includes the Fantastic Four, Thunderbolts, Fox-era X-Men and several MCU heroes.
