Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, an upcoming fighting game, will feature five single-player Episodes, each illustrated by a different artist. A beta test revealed that Spider-Man's story, titled "Amazing Guardians," is drawn by Japanese illustrator Betten Court, best known for his work on the My Hero Academia: Vigilantes spin-off manga. His distinctive style is reportedly visible throughout the animated panels, particularly in character facial expressions such as Ms. Marvel's.

This marks Court's second Marvel project, having previously illustrated the Spider-Man: Octo-Girl manga alongside writer Hideyuki Furuhashi. All of Marvel Tokon's single-player stories are written by comic writer Kieron Gillen, with each episode assigned its own artist to keep the visuals varied throughout the campaign. While the mode is described as lighter in scope than rivals such as Street Fighter 6's World Tour, the artwork and voice acting are expected to help it remain engaging.
