Kitty Gambel, formerly a senior executive at Amazon MGM Alternative, has been appointed Skydance Sports’ senior vice-president of alternative unscripted programming. Starting on 8 September, she will report to Head of Unscripted Jon Weinbach, strengthening Skydance Sports’ capacity to develop entertainment formats alongside its established sports documentary output.

At MGM Alternative, Gambel led creative development and current programming for shows including The Voice, Survivor, Shark Tank and Beat Shazam, as well as Amazon’s American Gladiators. Her earlier experience includes more than eight years at 495 Productions and work in syndicated television; Skydance Sports has recently produced documentaries for Netflix, Apple and Amazon, as well as scripted sports-related projects.
