Miley Cyrus has revealed details of her upcoming 10th studio album while guest-editing the Summer '26 issue of Wonderland magazine, describing the record as a "love story" shaped by her engagement to Liily drummer Maxx Morando. The announcement is notable as Cyrus's first substantial comment on the new project, offering fans insight into its themes shortly after her late-2025 engagement was made public.

In an interview with actress Daryl Hannah for the magazine, the 33-year-old singer explained that while a romantic thread runs through the album, it is equally about self-love and her evolving relationship with herself, a theme she says has carried across her last three records. Cyrus said the songs were created with collaborators, including her fiancé, who were open to reshaping or discarding ideas freely, and that she deliberately kept the tracklist to 10 songs to help her stay focused during the making of the album.
