CCTV footage has captured the dramatic moment a double-decker bus veered off the road and smashed into a newly renovated house in Ormesby St Margaret, Norfolk, partially collapsing the two-storey property. The incident, which occurred in broad daylight on a residential street, is significant given the scale of destruction shown in the footage, yet remarkably no one was hurt despite the bus carrying several passengers, including elderly people, at the time.

The crash happened shortly after 10am on 27 August, with footage from Planet Spice restaurant opposite the property showing the bus indicating off the main road before turning too sharply and striking the house head-on, sending debris and dust across the street. Around seven or eight passengers were on board and were seen scrambling to safety as passers-by stopped to help; the house is believed to have been empty at the time. Norfolk Fire and Rescue sent crews from Great Yarmouth, Gorleston, Carrow and Dereham to make the scene safe, while Norfolk Constabulary and bus operator First Bus both confirmed no injuries were reported among the public, staff or passengers.
