Moment Taser-wielding police officer commandeers Nissan Micra to catch fleeing criminal after low-speed chase
A police officer in Abercwmboi, South Wales, enlisted a passing woman to drive him after a fleeing suspect abandoned his van and ran away. The unusual pursuit ended with the officer using a Taser to arrest Jacob Roberts, 25, following a dangerous chase through residential streets.
Roberts, who was already disqualified from driving, had cannabis on him when officers stopped him after detecting a smell of drugs. He drove at roughly twice the 20mph speed limit, hit parked cars, a building and a police vehicle, and was later jailed for 14 months, with a driving ban extended by three years and seven months.
