Explained simply

Billboard’s Country Airplay chart ranks country songs played on US country radio stations, using estimates of how many listeners hear each song. It began in 1990 and is one measure of a country song’s reach on radio.

Morgan Wallen is an American country singer whose recordings have regularly reached the top of the chart. A No. 1 means a song led the ranking for that chart week; repeated top places track an artist’s success over time.

The chart is separate from Billboard’s overall songs rankings, which can also account for streaming and sales. Country Airplay therefore offers a snapshot of radio listening within the country music market.
