Motorola has become the first manufacturer to announce a smartphone featuring Qualcomm's top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset with the Signature 27, positioning it as the company's most advanced flagship device in several years. The phone features a distinctive design with an unusually shaped camera arrangement, available in two colour options with different textured finishes, though the industrial aesthetic is likely to divide opinion amongst consumers. A global launch is planned before the end of 2026, including availability in the United States.

The confirmed specifications include a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens and a 50-megapixel main camera utilising Sony's LOFIC-enabled Lytia 910 sensor, which offers 17 stops of dynamic range and is also found in the recently announced Vivo X500 Pro Max. Bang & Olufsen has contributed to the audio design, whilst the device will receive seven years of Android updates—a notably rare commitment from Motorola.
