MS NOW Streamer Sets Original Series With Rachel Maddow, Lawrence O’Donnell, More

Deadline · 3 hours ago

MS Now has launched original programming for its new subscription streaming platform, MS Now Membership, featuring a slate of five series fronted by prominent network figures including Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O'Donnell. The launch marks a step in the channel's strategy since rebranding from MSNBC earlier this year as part of the Versant spin-off from Comcast, as it seeks to build a direct, interactive relationship with subscribers through features such as live Q&As and a community hub, alongside a focus on live events.

The initial lineup comprises a monthly interview series from Maddow and four weekly shows: O'Donnell's behind-the-scenes segment, Ali Velshi's polling-focused programme, Claire McCaskill's Midwest-focused conversations with voters and officials, and Andrew Weissmann's legal Q&A series. MS Now president Rebecca Cutler said this represents the first phase of a programming strategy that will evolve based on subscriber engagement, with further features and shows already in development. Membership costs $7.99 a month or $79.99 a year.
