My Chemical Romance, Michael Jackson & More: Highlights of This Week’s Billboard Charts

My Chemical Romance’s *The Black Parade* has reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for the first time, following its 20th anniversary deluxe reissue. The album’s climb sets a new record for the longest journey to the chart’s top spot and gives the band its first Billboard 200 leader.

The charts are dated 7 November and reflect activity from 23 to 29 October, according to Luminate. Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” returned to the Hot 100 at No. 20, with streams rising 49% to 9.3 million; “Choosin’ Texas” extended its Hot 100 lead to 26 weeks. Other highlights included Morgan Wallen’s country airplay record and a Latin Airplay first: one artist held the top three places with songs from the same album.
