My Most Anticipated ‘Train Sim World 6’ Route Is Finally Almost Out on PS5

Push Square · 6 hours ago

Train Sim World 6 is set to receive its Tadami Line route on PlayStation 5, launching on 30th July, marking the long-awaited addition of a Japanese railway to the simulator. First revealed back during the Train Sim World 4 era, the route has been developed by Union Workshop over an extended period and is being highlighted as one of the most requested expansions among the game's Japanese railway enthusiasts, addressing complaints that the base game leans heavily on repetitive UK and German settings.

The route lets players drive the KiHa 40 diesel railcar across changing seasons, from spring cherry blossoms to snowy winter scenery, while following the winding Tadami River through forests and mountain valleys. It features 28 detailed stations, iconic bridges and a regional dam, with the developer, Dovetail, said to be continuing efforts to expand the simulator's roster of countries and locations beyond its current offerings.
