Former NBA star Chris Bosh has revealed he suffered a pulmonary embolism earlier this year that nearly killed him, saying he came close to "dropping dead" from the blood clot. Bosh said that in February he woke up "covered" in his own blood before learning he had suffered a pulmonary embolism, which occurs when a blood clot breaks loose and travels to the lungs. He is using his experience to urge caution and awareness among athletes, including Wembanyama, who has faced his own health scare linked to blood clotting.
