Netflix Already Has the Perfect ‘Heartstopper’ Replacement After the ‘Forever’ Movie

Collider · 7 hours ago

Netflix's teen romance drama Heartstopper concludes this week with the film Heartstopper Forever, closing out the story of Nick and Charlie four years after the series began and shortly after author Alice Oseman also wrapped up the original graphic novels. With the franchise ending, attention is turning to what Netflix might adapt next from Oseman's other work, and one novel in particular stands out as a strong candidate to fill the gap for fans.

That novel is Radio Silence, which is set in the same universe as the Heartstopper books and follows Frances Janvier, a high-achieving final-year student secretly devoted to a podcast called Universe City. After discovering that her reclusive neighbour Aled Last is the podcast's anonymous creator, the pair form an intense friendship built around their shared creative passion, even as they struggle to reconcile it with the more conventional academic paths expected of them. Unlike Heartstopper, which centres on romance, Radio Silence is fundamentally a story about friendship, identity and the pressure to conform, making it a natural next project for Netflix to develop.
