Netflix anime starring The Batman 2’s rumored Two-Face actor launches to 100% Rotten Tomatoes score

Netflix’s animated series Bass X Machina premiered on 3 November 2026 with a 100% Rotten Tomatoes critics’ score from a small number of early reviews. Brian Tyree Henry voices Bass Reeves, a lawman with a cybernetic arm navigating a steampunk American West filled with violent outlaws, machines and supernatural threats. The story centres on the cost of the justice he pursues to protect his family. The voice cast also includes Tati Gabrielle and Janelle Monáe.

The perfect score is an encouraging early reception, but it may change as more reviews are added; it does not mean every critic gave the series full marks. Henry is also cast in The Batman Part II, prompting speculation that he will play Harvey Dent, also known as Two-Face. That role remains unconfirmed, so the connection is a casting rumour rather than an announced part in the film.
