Netflix’s French six-part action thriller GIGN, released internationally as Elite Force, has reached the top of Netflix’s global streaming chart two days after launch. Its rise ends the five-week chart dominance of Harlan Coben’s I Will Find You, illustrating continued demand for fast-paced, action-led series on the platform.

Elite Force follows David, played by Tomer Sisley, a senior officer in France’s GIGN police unit who plans to step back from his demanding role for his family. After his unit is attacked, he postpones his resignation and joins a retaliatory mission; the series was written by Julien Leclercq, whose previous work includes Ganglands.
