Wales have named a 46-player extended training squad, including 14 uncapped players, ahead of the autumn's four-match WXV Global Series, with wing Lisa Neumann recalled after injury. The 32-year-old, currently unattached following her departure from Harlequins in July, missed almost all of the 2026 Six Nations after suffering a hamstring injury in the opening match against Scotland. Head coach Sean Lynn's squad announcement comes as Wales look to rebuild after finishing bottom of the Six Nations for a third consecutive season.

The squad will prepare for home fixtures against South Africa and the USA in September, followed by two away Tests against Japan in October. Uncapped players such as Lily Hawkins, Amy Williams, Kelsie Webster, Stella Orrin and Lucy Issac, who all featured in June's win over the Barbarians, are among those hoping to break through, alongside new faces including fly half Ffion Williams, prop Crystal James and hooker Shannelle Williams. Lynn described it as "a new look Wales squad for a new season" and said players would undergo a "robust pre-season training camp" before a final squad is selected for the Test matches.
