GTA 6 is the next entry in Grand Theft Auto, the long-running open-world crime game series made by Rockstar Games, one of the biggest names in video gaming. It's one of the most anticipated releases in the industry, expected to be set in a fictional version of Florida called Leonida, with a city called Vice City at its centre. Rockstar has released only limited official material so far, which is why any unauthorised leaks attract huge attention from fans and media alike.

Leaked footage and images occasionally surface online before a game's official release, often shared by people who gained early access to test builds or code. Rockstar, like most major publishers, treats these leaks seriously and typically responds by filing DMCA takedown requests, a legal mechanism under US copyright law that lets rights holders demand the removal of unauthorised material from websites and platforms.

This matters both because of the game's scale and commercial importance to Rockstar and its parent company Take-Two Interactive, and because leaks of this kind raise recurring questions about how studios protect unreleased content, how leaked material spreads despite takedown efforts, and what it reveals about a game still in development.
