New Langrisser: Sea of Sword Trailer Provides First Look at Gameplay
Langrisser returns with a new entry that represents a significant evolution for the long-running tactical RPG franchise. Building on the series' 35-year foundation of commander-led squad combat, Sea of Sword introduces a dual-generals system that allows simultaneous deployment of two leaders whose soldier types can be freely mixed to create novel strategic combinations.
Beyond combat innovations, the game expands into open-world exploration with towns, forests, and caves to traverse, environmental puzzles to solve, and NPCs offering side stories. Territory building allows players to develop a military stronghold, whilst destructible terrain creates dynamic battle scenarios including siege mechanics. The experience is anchored by Yasunori Nishiki's orchestral score and hand-painted anime aesthetics.
