NFL comfortable with Steve Tisch continuing New York Giants duties despite past Epstein ties
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said the league is comfortable with Steve Tisch continuing his work as chairman of the New York Giants’ board after reviewing his past association with Jeffrey Epstein. Tisch has attended games, the NFL Draft and league meetings, making clear he remains involved with the team despite earlier statements that he and his siblings had transferred their ownership stake.
The Tisch family completed a transfer of its remaining 23.1 per cent direct stake into their children’s trusts by September, following earlier transfers in 2023 and 2024. Goodell said the family was no longer owners, but Tisch has continued participating in Giants and league business; the NFL says it will review any new information. Tisch has said he exchanged emails with Epstein about adult women, films, philanthropy and investments, but did not accept invitations or visit Epstein’s island.
