Nintendo Identifies Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – Switch 2 Edition Bugs, Update On The Way
Nintendo has confirmed it is preparing an update to fix bugs discovered in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – Switch 2 Edition, just a week after the enhanced version launched on the console. The issues centre on quieter-than-intended battle music and a glitch in New Game+ mode that can cause a third accessory slot to vanish, prompting numerous player reports before Nintendo acknowledged the problems.
According to a Nintendo Support notice, the accessory slot bug occurs specifically when players use the Accessory Expansion Kit to expand equipment slots from two to three, then scan an amiibo via the system menu to receive "Bonus WP" — though any accessories already equipped are not lost in the process. Nintendo says it has confirmed both this issue and the lowered battle BGM volume, and will announce a release date for the fix once one is set, while apologising for the inconvenience.
