Nintendo has released a new seven-minute ‘Creator’s Voice’ video offering a behind-the-scenes look at Orbitals, an upcoming co-operative adventure for Switch 2. The video highlights the game’s creative influences, hand-drawn animation and emphasis on player communication, giving prospective players more insight before its release.

The feature includes comments from creative director Marcos Ramos, key animator Hidetoshi Yoshida and game director Jakob Lundgren. Lundgren said effective communication is central to the co-op experience, while Yoshida discussed the advantages of hand-drawn animation; Orbitals is due to launch on 3 September 2026.
