Guitarist Nita Strauss is set to begin her seventh consecutive season performing at Los Angeles Rams NFL games, extending one of the best-known crossovers between rock music and professional American football. This year the arrangement gains a new dimension, as her husband and manager, drummer Josh Villalta, will officially join her on stage during games, adding a live drumming element to the Rams' match-day entertainment.

Strauss has been a fixture at Rams home games since 2019, a tenure that included the team's Super Bowl LVI win, for which she received her own championship ring. She and Villalta, who met in 2011 and married in May 2024, welcomed a son, Maxwell, in June 2026, making this season's on-field debut together an added personal milestone. The pair will perform this Saturday, 22 August, as the Rams host the New Orleans Saints in their home opener at SoFi Stadium, with kick-off at 1pm Pacific time.
