R&B singer Nivea has said she was diagnosed with leukaemia earlier this year and is receiving treatment. She said her treatment has been going well so far and that the diagnosis has strengthened her gratitude for life and changed her perspective.

The 44-year-old, Grammy-nominated mother of four shared the update during an interview while driving around Atlanta. She did not specify the type of blood cancer, but said she is returning her focus to music, studying audio engineering and trying to be more present with her children.
