England will begin their bid to reclaim the men's Ashes from Australia at Trent Bridge on 18 June 2027, with the women's multi-format series starting six days later at Headingley, running alongside the men's Tests as in 2023. Notably, no men's Test will be played in the north of England, as Emirates Old Trafford and Headingley missed out on hosting duties, a decision previously criticised by Andy Burnham, now prime minister, when it was first announced in 2023.

The men's series comprises five Tests: Trent Bridge, Lord's, Edgbaston, the Utilita Bowl in Southampton (which becomes the tenth UK venue to host an Ashes Test), and the Kia Oval, concluding on 2 August. England, who lost 4-1 in Australia last winter and are currently without a Test coach following Brendon McCullum's sacking, will warm up with a one-off Test against Bangladesh at Lord's from 28 May. The women, aiming for their first Ashes Test win since 2014 after a 16-0 defeat in Australia in 2025, play a Test plus three T20s and three ODIs. Old Trafford, originally due to host a Test under 2023's venue plan, will instead stage a Pakistan ODI.
