No Rest for the Wicked delayed to 2027, promises new beta and founders packs for early buyers to tide people over
No Rest for the Wicked, the action RPG from Ori developer Moon Studios, has been delayed from its planned October 2026 launch to March 2027. The studio announced the postponement via social media, saying it was unwilling to compromise on quality and needed extra time to improve performance, refine the class system and polish the game further. The delay matters for fans awaiting the full 1.0 release, though it also conveniently moves the game away from a crowded October release window packed with other major titles.
To soften the blow, Moon Studios is offering a new open beta test in December, giving newcomers a chance to try the game ahead of launch. Anyone who buys the game before January 2027 will receive founders rewards once it fully releases, while PlayStation players, whose pre-orders open in January, will have roughly two months to claim the same rewards. Studio founder Thomas Mahler explained in a video that the team had rushed to add content such as the class system this year, ultimately concluding the game wasn't ready for its original release date.
