NORTHLANE Announces New Album ‘Anemoia’, Shares ‘CUT_it’ Single
Australian metalcore band Northlane have announced their seventh studio album, "Anemoia", set for release on 30 October, alongside a new single called "CUT_it". The announcement follows the band's chart-topping 2022 album "Obsidian" and continues their reputation as innovators within the heavy music scene, more than 15 years into their career.
"CUT_it", the album's second track, deals with themes of burnout and exhaustion, with vocalist Marcus Bridge describing its imagery as deliberately visceral. The ten-track album, executive produced by Jordan Fish and featuring a collaboration with Dayseeker on its title track, was inspired by producer Evian Christ's trance sets and blends genres including drum-and-bass, jungle and pop with the band's electronic metal sound. Northlane are currently touring Europe, with further dates supporting Dayseeker planned for the autumn.
