NUNSLAUGHTER Continues Its March As Death Metal’s Prolific Band With ‘Satanic Chaos Legions’
Cleveland death metal veterans NUNSLAUGHTER have released a new full-length album, "Satanic Chaos Legions", through BLKIIBLK, the newly launched all-metal imprint of Italian rock label Frontiers Records. The move marks a notable step up in profile for a band long rooted in the underground scene, placing them alongside heavier-hitting acts such as BIOHAZARD, FORBIDDEN, HATEBREED and MEGADETH on the same roster, a shift founding vocalist Donald "Don Of The Dead" Crotsley admits still feels slightly unusual.
Formed in 1987, NUNSLAUGHTER have amassed more than 200 releases, mostly splits, EPs and live albums, alongside just six studio albums. "Satanic Chaos Legions", released in late June, packs 14 tracks into 34 minutes. Crotsley told Blabbermouth the switch from long-time label Hell's Headbangers was driven by his bandmates rather than himself, with bassist Mike Jochum's contact with BLKIIBLK A&R man Mike Gitter, previously of Century Media, ultimately leading to the deal being struck while the band was on tour in Germany.
