Nvidia is about to be a hundred-billion-dollar-a-quarter company

The Verge · 2 hours ago

Nvidia expects quarterly revenue of $108 billion within the next few months, putting it on course to join a small group of companies that have exceeded $100 billion in a quarter. The forecast underlines the scale of demand for its AI-focused data-centre hardware and the company’s growing importance in the technology sector.

In its latest quarter, Nvidia reported record overall revenue of $96.2 billion, more than $10 billion higher than the previous quarter, while profit more than doubled to $59.7 billion. Data-centre revenue rose more than 100 per cent year on year to $89 billion, whereas consumer gaming and other edge-computing sales totalled $7.2 billion; the company cited slower PC demand and higher memory and system prices, alongside continuing component shortages and expected AI-chip price rises.

  • Nvidia forecasts $108 billion in quarterly revenue.
  • AI data-centre sales are driving its growth.
