Ofcom data has revealed that GB News receives higher trust ratings from its viewers (74%) than the BBC does from its viewers (66%), and was ranked jointly top for impartiality at 63%. This data may influence ongoing discussions about the channel's position in the media landscape, particularly as the Government considers new measures to prioritise "trusted" news sources on social media platforms.

The survey also found that 72% of GB News viewers believe the station presents a wide range of views. GB News, which attracts approximately 90,000 average daily viewers, has been in dispute with Ofcom following a £100,000 fine in 2024 for breaching impartiality rules during a programme featuring Rishi Sunak; however, the High Court later overturned one of Ofcom's decisions against the channel.
